Your new jewelry will naturally patina/discolor with time and handling. You will need to remove the handmade felt before cleaning this piece of jewelry or the felt will be soiled and damaged.

Use a pair of tweezers to remove the felt from the back of the piece. Being careful not to scratch the silver or stretch out the felt. Pay close attention to the direction of the felt so you can replace it back in the same position.

Remove the felt and set it aside while cleaning the silver.

Follow the directions below:

To completely remove the patina; dip the piece in liquid Tarn-X (not cream), rinse in hot water, and dab dry with a soft towel. Do not leave the jewelry piece in the Tarn-X. Doing so will make it dull. If necessary use a hair dryer to make sure the piece is fully dry.

You can choose to use the jewelry cloth instead of dipping the jewelry. But you must still remove the felt while doing so.

Reposition the felt in the back of the piece of jewelry by gently pushing it into position. Avoid getting fingerprints on the silver. Thank you and enjoy, Bobbie
