Your new jewelry will naturally patina/discolor with time and handling. You will need to remove the handmade felt before cleaning this piece of jewelry or the felt will be soiled and damaged.

Use a small eyeglass-type screwdriver to carefully remove the screw (place the screw in a safe place) and take the piece apart to remove the felt and set it aside while cleaning the silver. Be careful not to scratch the silver or stretch out the felt. Pay close attention to the direction of the felt so you can replace it back in the same position.

Follow the directions below:

To completely remove the patina; dip the pieces one at a time in liquid Tarn-X (not cream), rinse in hot water, and dab dry with a soft towel. Do not leave the jewelry piece in the Tarn-X. Doing so will make it dull. If necessary use a hair dryer to make sure the pieces are fully dry.

Reposition the felt and silver pieces in the coin holder, hold firmly as you insert the screw, and screw the coin holder back together. Avoid getting fingerprints on the silver. Thank you and enjoy, Bobbie
